water under the snow and on top of ice

it is deep in spots

big drift in front of stack

more like a canal then a road

2 inches of ice on top of the ground

don't have to worry about plowing sod when moving snow

green grass under the ice

just traveling thru

oh where they tried to move water away from basements digging holes with a backhoe , they say the frost is 18 inches deep. They can't even think of a ditch.

Going to be muddy a long time, it looks like.

While I'm enjoying the warmer temps, the mud and really dense drifts are making my chores a bit harder. Hoping it gets cold enough tonight and freezes the ground that I can go out before daylight and unload 6 ton of hay at a shed where I need it.

We flew over almost 800 sq miles of SE WY, W NE, and N CO this afternoon ... gorgeous flying conditions.

The amount of muddi'ed up county roads, flooded dryland wheat fields ... was staggering.

Wondering how this will affect the dryland wheat.

Lots of cows standing knee deep in mud and muck .... calving going on, didn't look good to me.

Thought I was looking at the gas field in the Powder River Basin at first. We have several roads out here that resemble that without all the snow. Frost coming out right now. I restricted my field yard so that we don't tear anything up.

Wow!, you still have lots of snow. It's amazing how different Wyoming can be from one side to the other. It's been a muddy mess here for a month now. Can wait till it dries out and I promise I won't complain about blowing dust this summer. :-)
