That's pretty scary looking. I'm glad my daughter isn't still working in Jackson. (She did a pharmacy summer internship there and now works for Walgreens in AZ.)

Thanks for the link Jody. That does not look good. I am glad everyone in Jackson took prudent actions before hand. Wouldn't want to see a repeat like in Oso Wshington, bless their soles.

This is scary stuff. The webcam at the end of this article is probably the same. It's from the City of Jackson.

Here's the latest news including what would happen if the water lines got involved.

Years ago they removed the toe of the southern part of the East Gros Ventre Butte for the expansion of West Broadway from a two lane to a four lane and more recently they removed more of the toe to make room for commercial development on that side of the road.

I lived below this butte but on the east side. It was an accident waiting to happen. They say they can stabilize it but IMHO more rain will cause more moving. Feel bad for those who live in the area.
