There are only 2 VA hospitals in Wyoming. Cheyenne, which is complete, surgery's and all. Sheridan, which is a hospital but they don't do surgery's, they arrange for surgery out in town but you do all the pre and post at the VA.

There are several clinics throughout the state and if need a hospital, the clinic will transport you to one of the hospitals. There are several threads detailing information about Cheyenne and Sheridan so I will let you do a search, in the upper right corner, instead of duplicating the information.

Sturgis, SD is another VA alternative and not a bad place 50 wks / yr (+ you can rent your place out during rally week) VA Black Hills Health Care System Home

If you can handle rain, want a beautiful view (shipyards, Puget Sound, Mtns) from a FREE State Veteran's Home... then head west to WA and sign up for Retsil, WA. Small community with a city bus every hour to take you to a free ferry that will take you to Bremerton, then you can hop a ferry to Seattle.
Veterans Home in Retsil, WA near Port Orchard, WA Long Term Nursing, Short Term Rehabilitative Care, Medicare A

Hot Springs, SD as well. (another State VA home)... STATE, not VA. (+/-)
