I saw on the news about jobs in Gillette, Wyoming. One of them
mentioned driving the worlds largest truck. What company would
be using that type of truck or machinery? I am requesting more
information or who to contact. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks, Ronald Fox

That's going to be a Euclid or TRex dump at one of the mines probably. One of the locals here would have to direct you to the company doing the mining.

These trucks are used in the coal mines around Gillette. Google to find them. Could also check with the WY Work Force center in Gillette. Newspapers also.

Here's a Euclid 260 one of the dump trucks I had in mind.

In another life we used to haul those things from the coal mines in southern Illinois to the repair shops in St. Louis and back to the mines.

Try the Black Thunder Mine:
Mailing Address:
Thunder Basin Coal Company
P.O. Box 406
Wright, WY 82732
Phone: (307) 939-1300 Physical Address:
12 miles southeast of Wright, Highway 450

They are most likely to have this equipment and they are a (relatively) short drive south of Gillette

Default huge trucks

There are several coal mines at Gillette, south of Gillette and north of Douglas. Check out Rio Tinto on the web. They own coal mines. All of these use the huge trucks.

Default coal mines

Try the the WY workforce center. www.wyomingworkforce.org or try googling for them. Also try the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce.

I think the CAT 979's and Leibherr 282's are the largest running up here.... they're both up around 400 ton payload. They're pretty large until you get next to a dragline....
