Talked with a older family group at Artist Point in Yellowstone today. One of the group had oxygen , another had a suit case caring his heart pump. The whole group moved at those twos pace. They were staying in Cabins at West Yellowstone that
one couples kids owned. Really amazing what modern medicine can do.

Yes, it is. Plus the Trauma II hospital in Idaho Falls, ID (EIRMC )cares for patients who get sick. Many don't know they have cardiac and/or pulmonary problems until they visit High Altitude. The last two summers YNP has had a medical helicopter in West Yellowstone to decrease the response time for someone experiencing a medical emergency. A separate chopper is on the Idaho side of the Grand Tetons in Driggs.

This year, YNP shattered all attendance records with a new amount of visitors. It's really pleasant when those with disabilities visit in the off season. They are able to see and experience more without as many others being present.

I appreciated your post. Those with medical problems can often do things too, but they just need a little more help, extra time and some patience. Everyone wins when that happens.
