Ok -
I am living now in Colorado, in a small mountain town, and am planning on moving to Wyoming at the end of the year. My family is in Upton, but that is just TOO small for me. Does anyone have any advice on where I could go?? I have looked into Moorcroft, Gillette, and of course Upton. There does not seem to be many options.
ANY ADVICE WOULD HELP AT THIS POINT!!!!

Default NE Wyoming

Sheridan, Buffalo, and Gillette will be your main focus then.

You didn't post if you needed employment. There are alot of out of the way places around there to live, if no job is a problem. Just have to find them.

bethiesue,

Both Sheridan and Buffalo are nestled at the base of the Big Horn Mountains and are most likely to similar in feel to your Colorado Mountain town.

Keep in mind though the entire population of Wyoming is less than the city of Denver and the largest town is equivalent to Greeley Co so, you will have to travel to Casper, WY or Billings, MT Shopping.

I have family in both towns and have always enjoyed visiting there. If you like to travel and camp there is some great country to explore there.

I hope you find this useful in making your decision.

Toby.

What are you looking for in a town? Size? Mountains? Employment needed? Shopping, entertainment, etc? There are lots of towns in WY that might work for you but you need to be more specific in your wants/needs.

Funny thing, I grew up in Upton, Wyoming.
I recommend where I live, Sheridan. It has the best of everything here.
The methane gas industry is booming, lots of jobs here.
