What do you keep in your car for emergencies during the winter?

I keep a water bottle, some snacks, a couple blankets, a flashlight, a road emergency kit (tools, a flare, small air pump), tire chains. And I always make sure my cell phone is well charged before driving any substantial distance. And I tend to keep a pair of warm gloves, boots and a jacket in the car even if it's not that cold or I'm not driving very far. Even if it doesn't seem too cold, after possibly hours stranded even mild cold can become a problem...

I didn't used to keep much in my car, as the roads are usually clear and fine, until I had a scare on a remote county highway when I went off the road to avoid hitting an elk during a snowstorm...I was able to get my car back onto the road and it had no damage, but I was pretty shook up at the thought of what would have happened if I HADN'T been able to get my car back on the road...it was a looooong way to anywhere.
