If you are asking about the dirt road I travel to get to town pictures, it's between Ranchester and Sheridan.

It's what the County classifies as a Dry Weather Road. They blade it twice a year. Spring and Fall. So when it rains, it gets real rutted. If they blade it in May and it rains the next week, it will stay rutted all summer. Keeps the traffic down.

Default Official Wyoming Picture Thread

This summer, I spent 9 days in this wonderful state. Started off the festivities in a little community called Moorcroft, off 94. We stayed rangeland court motel, which was a very nice experience. On our way out, we fell a bit behind schedule, and they shutdown the office at 11...didnt get into town until 1. Without making any kind of deposit, they left our room key in the mailbox and told us we could just pay in the morning....way cool !!! From there, we headed to devils tower....was what I expected. Wasting no time after the tower, we set forth towards the big horns...which was absolutely fabulous..I forget which town we were in, but right after we exited the park, drove maybe 20 25 miles out...were in this town, eating lunch, sitting on a picnic table and the big horns are right in front of us....It was a good feeling to say the least. we headed on towards Cody...made it into town about 7 or 8 if I recall. Sorta disappointed here....people RAVED about Cody...I come from a state that has the Wisconsin Dells...thats the feel I got from Cody, but a huge short come as far as the Wisconsin's prime tourist site goes. A place in town, forget the name, had 3 dollar margaritas..we ate as well, I had a veggie quasadilla which was very satisfying....back to the rita's...I get it now why they were 3 dollars...COULD NOT TASTE ANY ALCOHOL...I kindly told our waitress that these were a little weak, not knowing she was the one who made them. After a short temper tantrum from her, she comes out with 3 shots of tequila for my and my patrons...we tipped her well. After dinner, we wondered down to the city grounds and caught our first rodeo...It was a learning experience, acknowledging the culture, which is pretty similar to the background I come from, but defiantly took some things from it. The next day...Yellowstone...and the day after that...Yellowstone. Pretty damn amazing, too many people, but still...amazing. We stayed in West Yellowstone, MT at the Ho Hum Motel !! Neat name, cranky old lady who ran the place, but still accompanied us well. Nice clean rooms and reasonable rates, no complaints there. After we had exited the yellowstone vicinity, I had the entire state in front of me for viewing...I think my favorite part about this trip was being on roads, which scenery like I've never seen before....with very little civilization to accompany me....talk about freedom at its prime. I also visited places like Superior, Jeffery City, Atlantic City, and South Pass City...that I found very interesting...Superior in particularly. All in all....a perfect trip..didnt meet a single jerk either, everyone was very nice, even the locals in the bars that knew we were tourists....I took over 2000 pictures, only about 300 of them made it past editing. I took my 2004 Pontiac GTO out....put 4100 miles roundtrip ( I covered A LOT of ground, saw a lot of the state) and averaged 23.9 mpg, which I was very pleased with....Not bad for a highly geared muscle car with two other passengers. Montana or Utah is in the mix for next year, but before I exit the Wyoming sector, I'd like to say to the residents and people who appreciate this place.....gorgeous, unbelievably gorgeous. Below I've posted a few pictures.
