Welcome to the Wyoming Forum.

You didn't mention what degree or field you were persuing. You mentioned Laramie, and the University of Wyoming is located there. It's a college town by all means.

There are lots different places in Wyoming to live. Some have jobs available, some don't. Those that have jobs available by the ton, usually don't have any available housing to rent, but you can buy to the tune of about $250,000. to get anything worth while. Prices have really sky rocketed in the boom areas. But I believe they have peaked and will start back down. I know they have around here.

For work, I've listed two web sites. Wyoming work force is computerized. One web site will list every job listed in the state. You can search any way your heart desires. For instance, you can put in city. It will bring up the jobs in that city only. Or put in city and driving radius. It will bring up the jobs in that distance. The jobs will list complete discription, wage, vacation, medical, dental, 401k, where, what when, everything about that job. Or you can put in desired wage and it will show you those jobs that meet that criteria.

The first website is the jobs listed anywhere in Wyoming. The second website is "State" jobs. Like State Hwy, Girls School, Highway patrol, etc. But just "STATE" jobs.

Check them out. Feel free to ask questions. I might suggest that you take a look at the other threads here in the Wyoming forum, there's lots of valuable information already there.
