backing out of stackyard, snow deep and crusted, tractor stops no lights on dash or shifting leaver . Turn tractor off, no power. no shovel so we use axe to chop snow dig out battery which is under step and cab on left side. OH* the snow pushed the metal end on a hydraulic hose into the positive post of the battery, melting the red plastic cover over the post and connection and shorted out the battery . Ok we only got a 12 in crescent and a 1/2 in wrench. Got battery out, Donny came down on top of the crust with his 4 wheeler. Napa had a battery... Finished feeding cows with the lights on...

The most annoying things always happen when they are least expected. Hydraulic hose shorts out batter. That is rare. Glad you managed to get the thing running. Working outside in the snow is really annoying. Actually miserable.

Good hearing from you.
