If the coal mines with all thier wealth and screaming for good hands can't see that they need a complex for the new workers that are more than willing to pack up and move 1000's of miles to work for them they should get on the forum and we'll tell them. And I don't mean for free-they could charge moderate rent an have a messhall also! Not only would it pay for itself in a short time it should benefit everyone, with the wages the hands would make they would in a short time be able to find their own home and so on and so on! Any takes on that?

Yes you're right, they need so much help; but housing is the challengin part. I had been offered a job , but my problem is where?.

That's how the Town of Wright came into existence. When Exxon owned Black Thunder they built the town for their workers... it wasn't free, but it was a place to live close to the mine. Somehow I don't think Arch cares that much.

Housing is a real issue in many of the smaller mining locations - especially when a relocation is involved.
