Great work Kristy - I also went through all the forums looking for when the last time he was in them. Glad everything is fine with Elkhunter and that you got to visit for awhile. Thanks !!!

I be alive and kicking. Thanks for all the concern. As Kristy said, I was in the hospital because my lower intestine kinked and shut down my system. A couple of years ago I had 80% of my intestine removed and the old scar is where it kinked. Darn doctor said he was surprised it hadn't done it before now. And he expects it to happen again. He said, could be 6 weeks from now, or 6 years from now, no telling, but expect that it will happen.

But I am alive and actually feel pretty good.

Default Good news

Glad to hear you're okay and on the road to recovery.

I hate hospitals.

Really glad to hear you are feeling better. Anything to do with the tummy/intestines is pretty painful. Take care of yourself Mr. Elkhunter.

Maybe when your intestine kinks again you can post on your way out the door? Or hang a sign out for Kristynwy to see when she drives by? Or ask one of those nurses to post for you? Then we won't worry so much...

At least you know so many of us are thinking of you (many more than actually post). We're sure glad to have you around Mr. Moderator.

I'm thinking I spend way too much time at CD though, that I get worried like this... need to cut back on my CD time I think...

Default Welcome back ;)

Glad you are feeling well

Nice to see ya back on the board!

My grandma had intestinal problems, she had to have 3 or 4 operations due to scar tissue.... each one though was spaced over the course of several years...

I hope you are good to go for years also

I was just looking back through my notes. This is the 6th stay in the hospital in the 2 years since my surgery. I know more of the nurses by first name then I do neighbors around here. And matter of fact, one of my neighbors is a nurse at the VA and I met her at the VA and then found out she lives 4 doors down from me.

So after all that bad luck, I agree that I'm due for a run of better luck.
