" The lifestyle too will single out the invaders who don't respect the lifestyle of Wyoming who try to change Wyoming will find out the hard way."

Uhm...yeah...Wyoming is not a 'lifestyle'...

...Wyoming simply 'IS'...

I'm not bashing...it's just that the word 'lifestyle' makes me grit my teeth worse than fingernails on a black-board...

'life-STYLE' suggests that it's something one can 'FLIT' to & from, whenever one chooses...and I'm SURE there are people reading this who DO have the 'connections' & financial-wherewithal to enjoy such freedoms...
,
...but there are those who are NOT blessed with that ability...

Yes, yes...I know..."oh boo-hoo, sux to be you..blah blah blah..." but y'know...I've (literally) been around the world a few times...came here many-moons ago to get A.W.A.Y. from the fast-paced/busy-'lifestyle' B.S.....

...and when I see it coming HERE...

...it just....enrages me AND kills me, at the same time.

Sadly...weather conditions, mercurial-economy, taxes, etc, etc...I don't see how any of it will stop the 'blue-tide'...

It's like the rising-water seen along Miami-beaches, North Carolina's islands & New York subway-platforms with each incoming storm...conditions are RIPE for continued-distruction of everything that once held-firm, for those of us who came here seeking SANCTUARY from all the lib/progressive-madness out there.

It affects...no...strike that...it INFECTS everything & everyone it encounters, in it's increasingly outward-spread.

There is NO sanctuary !

I don't think there is any way in hell Wyoming will become blue or will be overrun by transplants. Aside from the weather kicking people out the long term residents do a pretty damn good job of getting people to leave as well. Most transplants I knew were gone within three years. I lasted eight and it was frequently commented on how long I lived there. And no. Most of them were NOT liberals and most did NOT discuss politics or talk about how they did things back home.

FWIW.... just my 1.5 cents worth (inflation... LOL). Until having more people in the world every day stops, then growth pressures will not change. And, while some people are not well suited at all to rural conditions, IMHO everyone has an equal right to want to try it out.

I have not seen political leanings be any indicator of appreciating, loving, and wanting to enjoy natural beauty. (But political leanings are certainly a fair predictor of how the human side of things will be managed.)

OBTW, FWIW #2: The Outer Banks of NC are fine. Don't believe everything you may read. It's the same old thing...

Well, I hope the OP is making progress with their search, and let us know how things are going for them!

I get it that gets annoying but there is some benefit to at least listening to what someone has to say.

I was born and raised in Wyoming and IMO it has more to do with the stars aligning (so to speak) if things do or do not "work out" regardless of how a person got here.

I know of transplants who really are very successful here and then there are "natives" who would be better off for themselves by moving on.

To each their own. Just like every individual is different.

Because of the decline of coal and oil production, the state actually lost population last year. And, the inbounds from Tejas, NY, NJ and Kali have not compensated.
