I can't believe he bought that place, of all the snazzy ranches he could chose from. Last time I came out of Oregon Basin,
there were numerous sale signs and I think it said it was going in an auction. He's gonna have some remodeling to do in
order to bring it up to his standards, but hey Kanye has the dough to do it. Merit Energy boys will be hoping he drops by
for coffee, and he shouldn't mind the aroma of a little H2S.

Meh... I don't follow pop culture but believe he's welcome to live where he wants, just as I am.

That works pretty well.

How long til he sells it? I think it is on the market again in about 3 years. Might take a few more years to sell.

Seems like you're right. I think it was the Wiley Ranch and then somebody bought it to make a tourist ranch out of it and
I don't think it ever lived up to expectations financially. It's just sort of out in the sagebrush, and the lake hardly has any
trees around it. I always thought the improvements looked kind of rustic. They may be running some cows on the BLM-
several ranches have cows in the OB. I just thought something down South Fork would be more like it if he wanted to be
in Cody-though he couldn't get as many acres for the same amount.

I think you could sit on the deck and watch the pumpjacks go up and down. Course maybe some of those pumpjacks are
on his deeded-and that's why it was kind of spendy.

Yes, nothing but dirt, sand & sagebrush. It was a Deseret-owned/operated outfit many-moons ago. If the church could'nt make much of it, I doubt West's 'handlers' (or wealth & financial-advisors) have a clue what they're doing, other than a short-term investment which they'll put right back on the market shortly after getting the paperwork in the system. Highly doubtful they'll even 'grace' Cody airport with a quick 'touch-and-go', but we'll know if they do...if the Kardassian-Clan starts sporting 'Cowgirl-Bling' on whatever shows or glossy-mags that still care enough to 'keep-up' with them.

Geez louise...it never fails to elicit a chuckle...whenever I pass through the channels & see 'Keeping up with the Kardassians'...

Other than grade-school girls, exactly what kindof people out there feel it's even remotely NECESSARY to 'Keep Up' with silly stuff of that calibre ?

I just don't know.

Yeah, I can see Kim or one of her daughters being cheuferred to Tangles beauty-shop on a cold, blustery wintery-day by one of the locals, and being lectured on their 'extravagent-lifestyle', it'd probably go something like this: https://youtu.be/vmoYpJIUWhY

State tax considerations (vs. CA) may be part of this.

I used to fish that pond when I lived there in the 80s. Subsequent owners put in freshwater crayfish and allowed the trout to grow very large - hence the name.

But, about that same time frame a man from Utah was making a name for himself fishing monster trout on Flaming Gorge. A unique individual who would spend his nights camping in the dead of winter there - but I digress.

Even if they become legal residents, Cali will still send them a tax bill. If they truly want to live in Wyoming, they should sell the other two properties in Cali and cut all ties. Then Cali has no legal basis to tax them.
