I met this girl in my physics class and she said she moved to California in January and that she is from West Central, WY. I looked it up on this site but it didn't come up. So, is it not a big place? Is it near any cities?

I would guess she is maybe from Riverton or Lander,Wy or that area by looking at a map...

Well in Wyoming we don't have big "cities" per say... more like big towns...

Cheyenne,Wy and Casper are the two biggest I believe they are near the 50,000 population range each off the top of my head...

I have never been to Riverton or lander, but I assume they are more close to the size of Sheridan or Gillette, which are closer to 18-20,000 population...

Not sure they are that big - Riverton is bigger than Lander I think (I'm in Cody & have been thru both several times) but I would think of Star Valley (mis-section) as west-central. I think of west as the west side & central being mid-way north to south...??? We generally consider Lander & Riverton to Casper being central Wyo, but ppl say different things....most of whath I consider "west central" is nearly uninhabitable or simply unpopulated or wilderness.
