I hope to God not. They kept swarming around the NE side of my new barn. Also, they were crawling all over the ground inside.

I just did a search and I think the flying termites have bigger wings.

Default If you do have termites...

If you do have termites, act on it as soon as possible, for your home. I was lucky enough to contact
https://www.micropest.com and they were able to stop any serious damage occurring before it was too late.

Does Wyoming have termites? I thought they needed more humidity.

NDak15 ... correct. Most of Wyoming does not have termites. On the East and West areas of the state, termites are listed as a "light" problem.

As a real estate investor, I've done a lot of property inspections throughout the state for the last 25 years ... and have yet to see any signs of termites in any building, residence, or structure. That includes a fair number of 80-100+ year old wood frame construction, with no signs of termite problems.

I have, however, seen seasonal "flying ant" infestations in Wyoming. Nuisance swarms, I haven't seen any damage to structures from them.

My real estate agent here in Casper made it sound like there were termites--though not structurally damaging kinds--here in Casper. He also made it sound like they were easy enough to get rid of. I tested for them before I bought, but they found none. It may be a different species.
