I'm looking to move to WY but also need to work a few more years before retirement. I mainly do LTC and with only 35 nursing homes in the whole state it's slim picking. I'd like to end up in Green River or Worland, possibly Cody. Any nurses here can tell me if any good jobs in these areas?

I recommend checking on indeed if you haven’t already. I’ve been regularly checking Wyoming for well paying jobs (in other industries) and constantly see RN and traveling RN jobs all the time all over the state. Seems as though there is a shortage of RNs up there at the moment. Hope this helps.

Just out of curiosity, why Wyoming? Are you still in NC? If so, from your username, you sound like you love it there. Like I said, just curious.

Nope. Been several years. Currently in IA and not loving it. Tried south, east, mid...now WY and I'm ready to plant myself.

Totally fine to call the facility and ask if they are hiring. I suspect most are.

Have you been to these towns? They are a bit different from North Carolina.

Look at Post#4 of the OP. They no longer live in NC. Live in IA now and dislike it. I did do a reply to the OP that they could change their "Welcome" name, like we did. But........
