I know this is a tough ask as everywhere in Wyoming is beautiful. But I moved here almost 3 years ago and I've only seen the Casper/Cheyenne/Laramie, Douglas and the Thunder Basin National Grassland (I work there), and up around Weston just shy of the Montana border.

I want to remedy this. So, I've resolved that I'm going to take one weekend every month to go out and see somewhere new.

To start with, I'm going to go to Outlaw Cave west of Kaycee tomorrow morning. Leaving early (around 5am) so I can get there just after sunrise and hopefully get some nice pics with morning light.

Where else do you think I should add to my list? I'm going to get to Yellowstone someday, maybe this year.

In eastern Wyoming:

Sand Creek National Natural Landmark, east of Sundance
Cook Lake, Bear Lodge Mountains, north of Sundance
Crooks Tower
Circle Park (west of Buffalo)
Meadowlark Lake
TenSleep Canyon
Shell Falls
Medicine Wheel
Devils Tower
Guernsey St Park
Vedauwoo
Lake Marie, Snowy Range
Rob Roy Reservoir
Ayres Natural Bridge
Fletcher Park
Seminoe St Park
Green Mountains
Hells Half Acre
Tongue River Canyon
Around Encampment
Hwy 70 / Battle Mtn, especially in fall

Plenty in western Wyoming but not going to enumerate right now. Easy enough to find in other threads or via internet, guide books, co-workers.

Add the Beartooth Highway, Dead Indian Pass, Sunlight Canyon, and Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone, all right in the same area. Can be done on the same trip as Yellowstone.

I saw a photo of the lakes and mountains on a camping book for Wyoming. Wow, I need to see this so we camped for a couple of days at the USFS campground on the shores. We have a pop up truck camper on an F250 so, although the roads closer to the campground were a bit rutted, we arrived in one piece. There were people camped along the road by the Green River which was a clear rushing creek that becomes a wider muddier river in Utah. The aspens were in their glory and I thought it was one of the most beautiful places we have been.
