Keep in mind DRVortec....that there is a lower cost of living here than most places and that while some may take a pay cut to come here....they don't miss it because there aren't any state income taxes or city taxes coming out of your paycheck.

I moved out to the west coast a few years back and only lasted a year before I came back. I took a $10/hour pay cut.....but I didn't notice it in the "real world" back here in Wyoming.....it really doesn't cost as much to live here.

My family use to live in Casper and we would like to move back there. We have been gone 1 yr but there is something about Casper that makes it home. The schools are great, ours went to Oregon Trail, the teachers really care! People are friendly and there is a nice variety of restaurants and shopping. It's the perfect size town to live in. I use to wk at the hospital and it is a very nice place to work and to be proud of! Any questions let me know, will be glad to help!

hrwy,

I used to live in Casper also and my wife and I are planning to move back in the very near future. We left Casper in 1979 (oops ! that dates me ), I'm originally from a south east State but I love it there in Wyoming. My kids were all born in Casper, I worked at the Salt Creek oilfield in Midwest for awhile until I got into welding myself, lived near refinery row," I don't think it is there anymore though, loved waking up seeing the flame.
