Was looking at real estate ad in a Jackson Hole paper 5+ acres that allows horses over $3 million. Then ads in Star Valley you could get 300 to 500 acres for the same price and the kicker is the property taxes on ag land is based on production. I guess if you have the money to live in Jackson , you can fit in with that social life.

maybe the people selling this land had ancestors who sold the Brooklyn Bridge?

I suppose if someone just wanted to "own" land without trees or water or anything, and just wanted to visit there to camp or something it might be ok.

hmm. not sure what happened to the posts I responded to so my post no longer makes sense. can an admin delete these? I couldn't seem to edit my previous post either.

Sorry, did we have a full moon? I had a rash of posts from a troll and had some serious cleaning up to do. I may have cleaned more then needed. Sorry for the inconvienence.

to the OP.. I'm sure that not everyone in Jackson has that "high and mighty" persona that such prices would suggest. There are down to earth people everywhere.

Yes, but the "down to earth people" generally cannot afford those sticker shock priced houses and properties which prevail in the area.
