How did the name Buffalo come about for the town South of Sheridan? Not just who or where it was named after, but how it was named Buffalo.Charles Buell, owner of the Occidental Hotel near Clear Creek, helped name the town of Buffalo (pop. 3,900). Buffalo seems like a good name for a town in Wyoming, but I'm not sure why anyone would name a town in N.Y. that. Did they have Buffalo at one time?
