ok i have been on this computer for days looking at all the work out there,i can see there is alot of work.i have no problem with outdoor jobs(i live in the UP of MI) my thing is i dont want to fail... i have a wife and 2 kids the depend on me ..and to top it off my oldest has autism,is there any resorces for him there? makes me decison that much harder?
anyway what im getting at is it worth it to go out there?i allready know that it is hard to find a place to live,i am crurntly a mechanic by trade ie:skidsteers,forklifts,mini-excavators,and some big equipment.plus i can operate all that to.and i mke 12.00 a hr??i can do alot more than that but you get the picture.
its a really hard decison to make. if i do this i would leave my family here in michigan for a month or so,then come get them.? i would really like any imput from people that has move to gillette.i dont like the city life.......i just want a better life for my family!!!im tired of living from paycheck to paycheck...

Being between a rock and a hard place does cause stress to build and decision making difficult.

We moved to Gillette in Aug. for the exact same reason you're talking about....we were tired of living paycheck to paycheck. Yes, what you hear about jobs being readily available here is very true, especially in specialties like yours. I want to mainly respond to your question regarding your child with autism. I am a special ed. case manager here for the school district. We have an Autism specialist in our office who is available to help out all the teachers, etc. There are a couple of schools in the district that have specialized autism programs. If you want more info I can give you the lady's name in my office who you can contact for more information! Best wishes to you!

you will not have any trouble finding mechanic work in gillette. you also will not have to worry about pay as it is VERY good at the mines on top of VERY good benefits. All you have to do is check out the classifieds in the paper... good luck!

how do i post a question on here sorry for invading yours. anyways im trying to find out what kind of jobs are out there in gillette, wyoming. im from michigan which most people know sucks. gm jobs gone and the ones still around wont be next year probibly. what im getting at what kind of industry thrives out there im recenty out of high school and all i can find here is a minimum wage quiznos job. i would like to find a career not a job more or less. any help will be aprectiated.

Check out the website, wyomingatwork.com They have listings for all sorts of jobs in Wyoming. You can search by region, city, or all over the entire state. You don't have to register to see what jobs are available. Just click on the Find a Job link under where it says Job Seekers. Once you choose your search area you can either fill in the search criteria or you can leave everything blank and hit search and it will bring up all jobs available in your search area. You can click on each job for more information about that job.
This website will give you a good idea of what types of jobs are available in Wyoming. Good luck in your search and I hope you find what you are looking for. Just remember though that some areas in Wyoming have high rent fees if there are rentals available, and housing prices are on the high side if you want to buy. So also check that out as well.

how is the R.V. park situationin in gillette i am thinking about moving up there from utah to work in the energy industry. i heard a guy talking about pipe laying jobs but i can not find the comment anymore if anyone knows more about this please let me know thankyou.

ok i have been on this computer for days looking at all the work out there,i can see there is alot of work.i have no problem with outdoor jobs(i live in the UP of MI) my thing is i dont want to fail... i have a wife and 2 kids the depend on me ..and to top it off my oldest has autism,is there any resorces for him there? makes me decison that much harder?
