This is happening alot today. In the past it has only been very occasionally.
I lose volume on the station I am watching.
I change channel using the remote and then go back to the channel I was watching and bingo, I have my volume back.

This has happened close to 7 times since 5pm and it's 5:30 now.

revised: the video and audio is breaking up. The end result has been no volume, but then go from channel 68 to 67 and back to 68 and I have normal volume.

It sounds like the set top box could be bad but if you want to find out call their repair dept. and ask for josh. If anyone will know it will be him. He has helped me several times w/ my own problems.

thanks..........it could be related to the fact that I am using the new digital receiver but the old remote. It worked so I just kept using it, the new one looked complicated.
