We, the neighbors affected, are concerned that the police may be reluctant to give out a $250 citation. It's a stiff fine and to fight that ticket requires "criminal court". So, it is far more serious than the $50 leash law fine.

That option is totally different than going before the magistrate.
So, at this point we need to gather evidence for civil court. If that fails then we can hope the police will come out and will be firm with the law and the fines.

3 of us are disabled and another elderly and in bad health, and a decent night's sleep is all we seek.
Doctors have limits on sleep meds.

If you know anyone who has gone through this it is appreciated.

We do not know if it will help us or not, but they are tenants, and the house owner has been notified. They are landlords for various rental units.
They may be a BIG help or ZERO help. It may be that they do not want to fool with tenants that cause problems, but on the other hand, that one rental unit may be so meaningless to them, the landlord ignores the complaints. They are rather prominent in the area, so we expect zero help from the landlord, or a lot of help, not expecting anything in the middle of the road. Either they tell us to handle it on our own, or they tell their tenants to solve the problem or face eviction.

If you know anyone who has gone through this and gotten relief from the courts please let me know.
I have a neighbor who had to move from her home in Va. due to barking dogs. It was her only option. Sad.
