Can anyone tell me what we can do if my daughter's guidance counselor put her in a class without our knowledge? She is in a class with kids from fort mill academy who were expelled but came back to school. The atmosphere she reported in the class is mainly a bunch of clowning around and teasing the teacher. My daughter's guidance counselor conveniently is out and the principal is someone you cannot talk to. She hides and won't come out of her office.

I would call the office and schedule an appt with the principal. Why not be direct?

That is exactly what we plan to do. I was told to do a parental override.

Goodness gracious alive ... if making an appointment with the principal doesn't work ... go over their heads ... call the Superintendent's office or Fort Mill School Board Chairman or a member of the school board. The School Board is your elected officials. You will get results.

When my kids (3) were in school and we would get the runaround, it is necessary to go into overdrive and be heard. Bring fire down on the situation until you have an answer.

We have scheduled an appointment for next week to see the principal. All of a sudden she posted her email.
