We have just determined that our family will be relocating to the Charlotte metro area. We have looked into the northern SC area (Fort Mill and Tega Kay). Do you have any insight about these areas? We have a 13 year old that will be entering HS soon.

PS: Any gated communities in this area?:

Thanks

Fort Mill is opening the new high school this year. Fort Mill and Clover schools rank high.

As far as gated communities there is River Hills (Lake Wylie), Longview (Indian Land) and Farrington(Indian Land) are the ones that pop in my head right now.

There is a gated community near me, but I don't know the name. It's off Kimbrell Rd near HWY 160 in Fort Mill.

I think part of Bailiwyck is gated, and perhaps Springfield also. I'd also assume part of the Palisades is, although that's technically in Charlotte.
