I'll be moving from the north in a month or so. Myself and the rest of my family will be coming down in a week or so to look at a couple rental properties.

I have done extensive research on all the possible areas, but what I can't seem to figure out are exactly what areas I should avoid.

I want safe, in a safe school district. In other words, no ghetto.

We are looking into Yorck, SC and Rock Hill, SC. Can anyone tell me what streets i may want to avoid all together in those areas?

thank you in advance

Do you know where the rental properties are located that you will be visiting? If so, most people on here will tell you if it's a good neighborhood or not. It's easier to do it that way than to tell you all the areas to stay away from.

ok....

so I check both locations out via googlemap satellite and it "appears" that the York address I might wanna stay away from, but Rock Hill is okay.

Can anyone confirm or deny these assumptions?

You don't want Carolina Avenue in Rock Hill either. That is just off Saluda St and supposedly the RHPD has a curfew on that street. Lot's of trouble in the area. The city is trying to clean up the area but the crime rate is high.

You can go to the police station and they can give you historical records and stats, on the types of crime, and the number of crimes in an area.
We did this when I delivered for P. Hut.

Many people have been killed on Fargo St. in Rock Hill.
Green St is no public park either.

I delivered pizza for over 14 years and never had any problems.
We had one driver that got robbed and it was near the stadium in Rock Hill or Cherry Road (one of those streets behind the stadium)

The police can give you the crime statistics over the last 10 years.
