probably too late, since I just signed a contract on a house outside of Lancaster, SC...but I loved the area. Areas to stay away from? great finds that would be good to know? any help appreciated

I commute to Lancaster for work every day. I really like the town. Nice people and relatively clean. Lots of stores. It has it's "bad areas" but most of Lancaster is very nice. I would probably consider moving here if my wife did not work in Charlotte. I think you will enjoy the area.

Hey, I know you!! I think Lancaster is a FABULOUS little small town with a quaint little orange restaurant I keep hearing about.

I am going to take you to eat at that little Orange Store and get some cotton candy ice cream for some boys, too!! Will be Lancaster residents in 48 hours!

I'm curious too since I live here. The only orange restaurant I can think of is LaChalupa.

Maybe the Orange Store is one of the Jack's gas stations. There is one on Hwy 9 and another maybe on 200 North (?).

I was thinking Jacks. The only one I know of is on 9.
