What if anything can you tell me about it?

TIA

Yep, we have been. It is pretty big (in York County terms ) with loads of people. Course the thing that stands out the most in my mind...is the heat (it always seems to be held on the hottest day of the year...course nothing compared to what we have had of late). You will see all kinds there...and it does have a great community feel to it. My suggestion would be to get their as soon as it starts and bring a water bottle.

My favorite part...the car show and the peach ice cream

I am a crafter and hoped to do a booth there, but time got away from me and I missed out on the deadline to participate. It's just as well - I'd rather just ATTEND this year to check it out and plan on applying for a booth next year.

It's a typical little southern town festival ... good food ... a great car show ... items for sale at craft & art booths ... live bands on 4 different stages ... a 5k and a Fun Run on Saturday morning ... a moonlight bike ride on Friday night ... streets are closed off ... LOTS OF PEOPLE attend.

You can go to the Greater York Chamber website and see all the events.

South Carolina does have festivals and most of them are fun for the whole family.

York SC - Summerfest
Great Falls SC - Flopeye Fish Festival
Rock Hill SC - Come See Me
Fort Mill SC - Fall Festival
Salley SC - Chitling Strut Festival
Hemingway SC - BBQ Shag Festival
Blythewood SC - Kudzu Festival

South Carolina - Calendar of Events, Festivals

So I am wondering if you made the deadline for the Fort Mill - Art On Main being held on September 22nd?

Art On Main

I hope so...but if you didn't...I'd like to give you a heads up on the Tega Cay Fall Festival being held in October.

20th Annual Tega Cay Fall Festival - 2007

...we could use more crafters!

lovethecarolinas - I didn't sign up for Art on Main because they wanted 8x12 booths and my tent is 10x10. I didn't want the hassle of coming up with some weird configuration that would ALSO leave me in the sun all day since my tent wouldn't be accepted.

I'll definitely look into the Tega Cay festival though, if I'm free for it - my October is currently looking pretty packed when I look at my calendar!!
