Soccer in Fort Mill / Clover (Rock Hill, Tega Cay: YMCA, live in, club)

Can anyone tell me about the soccer club choices in the area. I have two kids (11&15) who play travel soccer in VA and want to continue once we move. I know there are many clubs here but which will be the best for me if I live in either of these two towns?? (If clover I will be in or near Lake Wyile twnshp, in Fort Mill most likely west of 77 and north areas (want to stay in FMHS for next year after zone changes if I am there)

well, I did happen to give the OP some information but it was off site. They have since settled in Tega Cay. You may want to look up a few of RetiredNavy's other back posts/threads..as they have since given out other pieces of advice in regard to soccer in the area.

Some of the local places who may want to check into is
Tega Cay Parks and Rec
Leroy Springs Recreation Complex (Fort Mill)
YMCA (Baxter Village/Fort Mill and Fort Mill/Gold Hill Rd location)

I'll also tell you one other place that in my opinion is just plain awesome...if you know anyone that is into soccer.....check out Manchester Meadows (located in Rock Hill). Here is a link: Rock Hill Rocks!

I have heard wonderful things about Tega Cay soccer. My son currently plays for Leroy Springs but he is only five so I have no idea what it is like for the older kids.

If you want a travel team, there are two soccer clubs on the SC side, Carolina Select Soccer Club which used to be Tega Cay Soccer Club, and Discoveries, which is based in Rock Hill. Also there are at least three Charlotte Clubs. So, plenty of soccer in the area! We are happy with CSSC and practices are local. The facility in Rock Hill is amazing, the nicest soccer complex I've ever seen.
