I know this is kind of an "old story", at least at the moment, but does anyone know why DHEC renewed Tega Cay Water Service's license to operate when it continues to withold repairs on the lift stations that overflow and spill RAW SEWAGE in to Lake Wylie during heavy rainstorms?

As I recall, back in May there was a hearing and DHEC made the decision to renew their license with no provisions (like a deadline to get the problems fixed).

From what I understand this problem has been going on for years and the Tega Cay Water Service has done little, if anything to fix the problem.

Just wondering if anyone has additional information. Maybe some Tega Cay residents?

It just seems like everyone gets excited about this when there is a Sewage Spill or Swim Advisory but then everyone forgets about it until it happens again but the problem never gets fixed. I just don't understand how they are able to get away with this year after year.
