Does anyone know when/where a future I77 bypass will go through the Fort Mill area? I heard about the possibility but can't seem to find anything on it.

How and why? Not really sure why you would bypass Fort Mill? I-77 is 4 lanes.

The bypass isn't necessarily about bypassing 77. It's more about making 77 access easier to those who live east of, say, Banks Street in Fort Mill.

No they are wasting our tax dollars attempting already two times to fix the exit off of I-77 at the Celanese Road exit. They are doing a 'study' now to see what can be done about that exit ... already paid for construction twice to fix that exit I hope the third time will be the charm.

The bypass will start at Springfield parkway and comes out near hwy 21 I believe. This will help truck traffic get around Fort Mill when heading down 160.

Thanks for the clarification. We were looking at the Huntington Farms neighborhood and was curious if the bypass would help out the commute up to Charlotte.
