Hey all! Hubby left today for the Fort Mill/Clover area to hopefully find us a house. Our home here in S. Cal is officially "under contract". Hurrah!!!! Should be able to move mid October. Sure didn't think it would take this long to sell. When we put the house on the market back in May, I thought I'd be enjoying a hot, humid summer in S.C. Oh well, with the move and holidays, I'm sure the winter will fly by. I'll have to get used to wearing shoes again.

Hubby has orders to look at homes in Bailiwyck, Beacon Knoll, Quail Ridge, Tega Cay, Bethelfields, The Landing, Clarendon Estates, etc. and just a few in the actual Charlotte area. I loved the Weddington area in Union Cty but hubby decided that was too far away from where he wants his office.

Been reading about the Farms and Garden Centers in the area. Can anyone give me directions. I am SO excited about hunting for local produce and having a actual YARD to landscape! Anyone know of a fun Pumpkin Patch to take the kids?

One other question: Do the local YMCAs have year 'round swim lessons?

Default Boo Hoo

Hubby just called. Several homes he was supposed to look at today are already under contract. We'd like to get a home with a pool and there are just not many to be found. We'd settle for a home with a neighborhood pool but we've really missed having one. He's found a really nice home with a pool in Tega Cay but the street is very short and there are no other kids around. We didn't have any kids on our street in TX and it was a real drag having to make play dates all the time. Here in S. Cal, they play out in the Cul-de-sac with their friends all the time. What to do ...what to do?
