Does anyone else get mad when they see the complete waste of resources when the phone book comes? We received our yesterday, we don't even have Comporium. We live in Indian Land and have TWC. Who still uses it? Seems like a waste to me since most have access to the internet. I can't imagine what it costs to produce it.

Believe it or not there are people (mostly elderly) who do not have internet and use the book. I do think there should be an option through comporium if you want the book or not and with that being said, reduce your bill one time a year if you choose to opt out. Like that'll ever happen.

I find the Comporium book very helpful. Much easier than using the internet. Just wish I could get a copy of the Charlotte book. Funny, I have neighbors who ASK for my back copies. I always tell them they can get their own for free at any COmporium office.

I don't think Comporium puts their white pages or yellow pages online... so in that case, the book is still useful

What is worse is the Comporium van sitting at the Baxter YMCA yesterday (Aug 20) idling while the employee was apparently on lunch break getting in a workout. It was there long enough that the condensation from the running AC ran all the way under the vehicle and 10 feet behind it. No wonder our cable bills keep going up - their employees leave their work vehicles running while working out! Not to mention the environment pollution this needless waste costs our environment.

Comporium cable has not gone up in price in three years. Meanwhile TWC, Direct, and Dish have raised their prices two or more times.

Well that's just not true. According to my bills, Comporium has raised rates every year. The latest rate increase was in January 2012.

Before that, Comporium raised rates in 10/2011, 02/2010, and 09/2009.

As for the phonebook, it went to the recycling center and from the looks of it, there were A LOT in the bin already.

I find it convenient to carry in my car. Not all of us can afford smart phones, ipads and whatnot. Just sayin'.
