As a almost six year reader and poster on this site, I first want to thank all of those who in the past answered any questions I had. This site is invaluable to those of us who are looking from afar to move here and is also very informative after you move here. It is also an opportunity to help others get acclimated as others helped you!
In the spirit of that, I wanted to offer up an opportunity to all residents of York County. I became a member of the Newcomers Club of York County in 2009. This organization is for women from age 21 and up (although we tend to be mostly in our 40's and way up)! We meet monthly at a luncheon where we have some kind of activity, usually a speaker. In addition, there are all kinds of smaller group activities scheduled during each month mostly during the day, but some at night. You can attend activities as you find those that interest you.
I found the group of ladies not only gave me the opportunity to meet new friends but also helped teach me how to get around the area to the various activities!!
