My son went to Walmart and purchased one of those inside antenna's for his house. He dropped his cable.
He now gets 22 local stations (he lives in Concord NC). Was wondering does anyone in Fort Mill use these types of antenna's and if so how many stations are you able to pick up, especially wondering about the PBS stations.

I did, though I tried every antenna at WM and ended up having to buy a $100 attic antenna from Best Buy. I get 13 channels in crystal clear, at least a couple of them are PBS.

The best antennas that Walmart sells are the Clearstream 1 and Clearstream 2V from Antennas Direct. The amplified Mohu Leaf works well for some folks depending upon location, but it has its limitations. They also sell a GE indoor amplified antenna for $29 that is known to work well, and it is slender and rectangular in shape. But if you are going with an indoor antenna, then I would suggest the Terk HDTVa Log Antenna, sold at HHG. It has a good arrow shaped UHF element, as well as rabbit ears for VHF. In Rock Hill and Ft. Mill, you may also receive WSPA-7 from Spartanburg, as well as WOLO-25 and WIS-10 from Columbia. The Terk HDTVa with the rabbit ears should work best for these stations, as well as WTVI from Charlotte which is RF11. Otherwise, the Clearstream 2V. But if you go with an outdooor antenna, then consider the Winegard 7698 or the Antennacraft HBU-55. And an amplifier.
