I live in Belair at Carolina Lakes..I am 100% sure that there will be a Carolina medical building and a pharmacy (not sure which one, but I know it will not be CVS) built on the corner of Jim Wilson and 521 (not a Walmart...There is Walmart going in..But I think it is closer to the HS...Can't remember what road it is near..Anyway, the Walmart is def not going in on the corner of Jim Wilson and 521)) ...Across from this will be a Harris Teeter, Fort Mill Library, CVS (I know, another pharmacy) and I suppose a few other stores.

The above will go in where the land is now/has been cleared.

The land across from Sun City, bordering Jim Wilson, is supposed to be cleared at the end of 2008...I suppose construction will start in 2009 sometime.

It was suppose to be built North of 160 but I just read it is going on the corner of Jim Wilson and 521. When I find the article I'll send it to you

The news in error reported that...A lawyer who handles closings for the Pulte Belair Development, and also lives within the development, is the one who found out that the Walmart is supposed to go in on the corner of 160...not Jim Wilson road.

I was assured that the above was indeed accurate...I can double check though..

Theres no way it can go in on the corner of 160, there is no room for development there. I guess we'll know when it opens.

Okay, regarding Walmart..I just confirmed. It is going in next to foxholes (by recycling center) by the NC/SC border....I was wrong about 160.

Hope that clears all up!

The corner of Jim Wilson and 521 will def be Carolina medical center and pharmacy.

This is a funny thread---It is a well-known fact in IL that Walmart will go in on 521, just south of the state line, next to the Foxhole. Supposedly, Lowes Home Improvement will be at 521 and 160, behind/beside Sam's Mart. The Lancaster County Council has made a serious mistake rezoning so much scattered-out land for business---setting up 521 to be another Independence/South Blvd. It will be quite unpleasant in a few years, but I guess money talks. Don't get me wrong---I'm all in favor of commercial development in IL, but it could be done in a much smarter manner, with good planning. At least we'll finally be getting a pharmacy, with CVS coming in at Sun City, and perhaps another (Walgreens?) across the street.
