Tonight we saw a golf cart with 4 people driving from one of the neighborhoods across from Unity Presbyterian, cross Tom Hall Street, then drive through the cemetery and onto surrounding neighborhood roads to get to Pelican's downtown.

Just curious, is it legal to drive a golf cart on town roads like that? It certainly didn't seem very safe, except maybe the cemetery part

In South Carolina, golf carts are restricted to operate during daylight hours on secondary roads and streets with a speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less. Municipalities may have stricter codes.

Saw another one yesterday on Sutton Road, sitting at the light waiting to cross Highway 160. Seems crazy to drive golf carts on those roads!

Never see golf carts on major roads, what's really annoying is the damn scooters full throttle doing 15 mph in a 45 speed zone.

Near Baxter I see golf carts all the time - crossing 160 regularly. Never seen one near the Tom Hall section of town though - that's new. *lol*
