Here is our scenario:

New home build
First water bill $1675.00!!!!!
Claimed Usage : 89,000 Gallons!
28 day cycle
No Irrigation system
No running toilets or leaky faucets
outside faucets are working properly.

How do we dispute and prove that there is no way we used this amount of water?

I'd help if I weren't too busy letting people know I live in Tega Cay.

LOL... Actually, you just did.... Well played though. Maybe its been the people I have met from there when our son played LL this past year but it was def a prideful topic by the majority of residents. Usually within the first few minutes of any first time convo.

I've never heard of this happening but I'm sure it's not the first time that someone ran into this. I would call York County Water or whichever provider you have and see what they say. Since it's a brand new build there is no telling if you have a bad meter or some other issue is going on. If they are no help I would ask my real estate agent what they suggest and/or the builder. If all else fails just tell people that you live in Tega Cay...then again they might refer you to the city of Tega Cay utilities.

Definitely contact your water company to have someone come out and take a look.

Found the issue. The builder was never billed for the water they used. 75% of the bill was theirs and our project manager has given the controller the entire bill to pay.
