Agreed, I don't really understand though because there is definitely residential demand in Rock Hill. Most homes that hit the market sell within hours at or above list price.

I don't recommend him at all. But what we did is just check realtor.com, zillow, etc. for open lots and drove around for months looking at them. Finally found one and bought the lot. There are still lots of neighborhoods where there may be a lot or a few lots available. We picked a plan online and had the builder modify it. I wouldn't use an architect as architect's have no clue what anything cost to build. We lost a lot of money going with an architect originally who designed something we couldn't afford to build.

Default Rock Hill will catch up

If I had to guess why Rock Hill is not booming in new construction like Fort Mill, I would venture a guess at schools and commute times. A lot of people commute into Charlotte, and if they can't afford to live in Fort Mill, they go to Indian Land more than Rock Hill. Rock Hill middle & high schools are mostly a 5 on Great Schools, where Indian Land is holding at 7 & 8, and then Fort Mill is leading with 9s and 10s. I hope the school scores would improve, I love Rock Hill, the downtown is adorable and they have so many community events. The business community is really connected down there too, they care about each other and support each other as best they can when a new place opens up.
