Hello,
My family is considering moving to Tega Cay, and I was wondering how easy it is to get organic food in that area. We currently live in Florida, so I'm not familiar with the grocery stores up there. And in my search it seems like the closest Wholefoods to Tega Cay is in Charlotte about 30 minutes away. Where do you buy organic food and free range /grass feed meats in Tega Cay?

Thanks for your help!

Most grocery stores nowadays have a large organic section. We also have local butchers and dairies that can supply that kind of thing as well. You won't need to drive to Wholefoods.

Harris Teeter and Publix. For meat, check out the peach stand.

For dairie we use Lakeview Farms. They deliver each week and leave on our porch.

The Peach Stand was a great suggestion.

These also are a bit of a drive but not too far:

Home Deliver! Wow! I lived in England for a few years when I was little, and we had a milkman deliver milk to our house. One of my fondest childhood memories is of the Milkman coming up the walk whistling a happy tune and rattling of glass bottles.

Thanks for the reply.

You'll be close to the Charlotte Farmer's Market. Just look for the local farmers (not the vendors selling imported produce from China). There are some really great local folks that practice organic, sustainable farming that come from all over the area every weekend and setup a booth there. You will recognize the ones to stay away from as they typically have large trucks parked behind their booth and boxes that are branded from Dole and other mega farms.
