Don't worry - the drive from SC to Uptown will only take 35-45 minutes each way, as long as there are no accidents. A lot of folks commute from SC to uptown.

For those of us from the NE, 35-45 is not that long of a commute. When I lived in NoNJ my commute was two hours each way, and involved a car, a bus and a subway train followed by a walk of a few blocks.

Welcome to SC! I did the same thing about 18 years ago. Packed up a household, wife, kid, 2 cats and a parrot and moved back to SC from Seattle (too rainy and cold!!).
