I heard a rumor about this a year or two ago, but generally discounted it at the time. Apparently it's true though. The Chester News & Reporter had a story today that Derrick Close is trying to get textile makers back in the four former Springs plants in Fort Lawn. He's not thinking it will be one manufacture occupying all four plants, but a series of smaller operations. He was able to buy back the actual buildings.

I'm cautiously optimistic he can do this.
