Any thoughts about their homes and communities? I stumbled across their new community inside Regent Park online but I can't find much info about it. Thanks for your help.

I am actually building there, interestingly enough. If you want any information, please feel free to DM me so we don't clutter up the board.

I was just wondering today if anyone else here had bought/looked at Regal Manor. I'm getting the feeling I'm going to be all by my lonesome in terms of C-D people there.

We haven't decided on a community yet. We will be living at Millcrest Park until December. We are moving to the area July 1st! Ahhh we are getting nervous and excited. I can't wait to decide on a place to build a new house. Does Regal Manor have a pool?

Regal Manor does indeed have a pool. They have a clubhouse off Star Light (a bit of a walk, but about 2-3 minutes by car), and it has a swimming area and a beautiful water view.

The homesites at RM are moving pretty quickly. Most of the side of the street the model is on is built or in the process of being built. I think they have a lot on either side of the model that would be available if you asked. They can also delay the buildout a little, depending on your needs.

I looked all over the place at both resales and new homes, and I'm so glad the process is (mostly) done. Welcome to the area (early), and best to you and your family in your search!

They are very new to the Charlotte market. They have several communities spread out in the surrounding counties (I used to work for them). True Homes was Craft homes (out of Monroe, NC) originally and just changed names in January.

They are building a new community called Harris Crossing in Mooresville, NC, right next door to my community. The homes are flying up & selling fast! I understand their base price for a home is not that expensive, but they charge for everything else seperately. Your $180K house could wind up costing you $230K real quick. HEard that from someone who looked at & priced a home there.

I'm buying a True home (as I've mentioned here before ), and the add-ons weren't that expensive for me. If you absolutely have to have all the cosmetic stuff done at close, it can get pricey, but I kept my upgrades almost strictly structural. Most of the cosmetic stuff I can do later.

I would strongly recommend if you do buy (not just from True, but from anywhere) that you get a copy of the upgrades you chose at signing and a cost sheet from your builder to take to your design center appointment. If you go in with a plan and don't let yourself get swayed, you can actually keep it pretty cost-effective.

I have to say that True has been very communicative and responsive to my questions throughout the entire process, and I'm quite happy thus far.

Does anyone know where I can find actual photographs of some of True's homes? All I can find online is drawings. Thanks.

There's one inventory home in the Regal Manor subdivision that's under contract. If you go to any of the requisite sites (carolinahome.com, etc.) and look for the one at 1024 Regal Lane in Fort Mill, there should be some photos up there.

The MLS # is 761753.
