How does this work? I'll be moving from NY to Sun City in a few months & currently have a GHI Medicare PPO plan. Will I have to change that plan BEFORE I move & which plan is best for SC?

Thank you,
Art

I had the same plan, when I moved from NY. There are a few doctors that accept GHI in Charlotte. Check their website (GHI) and see where they are located and if it is worth for you. Otherwise, GHI wants you to pay out of pocket and then submit a request to them and they will see if they will cover a percentage of the claim. Personally it wasn't beneficial to me so, I went under my wife's
health care which is Blue Cross/Blue Shield of South Carolina. Since I am a retired city employee, I still keep GHI active when I go to NY, just in case. If you need more info. just PM me. I'll be happy to help.

JUst discovered New dermatologist in the area just north of Ballantyne. My doctor, Dr. MAck White, referred to David Schulman at South Charlotte Dermatology. He was the most thorough derm I have met and even checked between my toes and all through my scalp. He took off a spot that I had never seen that scare me and I just came in for my rosacea and sun spots. He is just minutes from Sun City and I'm checking myself now that he what to look for.

Thanks for the reference on the derm. We moved here last year, but are still trying to locate good docs that are on our insurance plan.
