Hello!

I've just moved to this area a couple of months ago, and love it here. Before I moved here, I didn't see a lot for pictures of Tega Cay on the web, so I thought I'd share a few of my own for anyone who might be interested. I resized them fairly small, out of respect for those who may be using a slow connection.

I'll start with Windjammer Park. This is a fairly large park at the bottom of the peninsula. It has a beach, playground, lots of grass, some spots to BBQ. It's a really nice place, and usually is very active.

This is the Marina (I think there may be more than one?). The boat launch is accessible to the public. There's also a little supply store.

Here's some various street scenes. The main road has a walking trail that loosely follows it down the length of the peninsula. One neat thing - at there start of the trail, you can pick up a flier which identifies trees by numbers. Then, as you're walking the trail, there are numbered posts in front of various types of trees. So you can look at your flier as you walk, and learn the various trees. It's a very popular trail in the mornings and evenings, and is a really nice walk. There's also signs every so often that point to various landmarks in the city.

Here are some various other park pictures. There is Runde park, which is two baseball diamonds and a playground. Then there is Turner Field, which is a Baseball diamond and a Soccer field. There's also another park on the lake, next to the beach club (that's the one with the pier). And there's numerous playgrounds scattered around the city, which I don't have pictures of, but they're all very nice.

The pictures are a bit dark, as it was getting late in the day.

And the last few. The first three are parts of the gold club. (The golf club is really nice). The last one is the Tega Cay fire department

One thing I don't have pictures of is the golf course that makes up the heart of Tega Cay. I'm not a member, and haven't seen most of the course. I did grab a couple of pictures from the road, but they really didn't turn out. It seems like a really nice course, and definitely adds to the overall feel of the area. Driving around the city, you're met with a lot of nice views from the road.

That's it for now!

Nice pictures. I thought the golf courses at Tega Cay were city-owned, so why would you have to be a member?
