I know, searching for gas around here is no longer funny. It's become scary.
I was in Charleston yesterday and we filled up with no problems...they looked like they weren't having any gas problems there.

Default Tried 5 stations, only diesel

My husband tried 5 stations...only diesel. He finally drove home so as not to waste any more gas. I am taking a graduate class and have to go to Hickory, NC Friday for a class meeting. I sure hope the stations get some deliveries before then. We are limiting our driving to work and back.

We've resorted to filling up at 4:30am at the Carowinds stations.

I just drove around Rock Hill and one station had gas, the lines were crazy. One accident and people driving all over.

And the lunkheads at Channel 3 and the Observer (among others) are making the situation 500 times worse by running with all these Chicken Little stories about how the sky is falling, so people are running out to fill up every vehicle, gas can and crevice they have.

Morons.

What the heck is going on - we got gas at the Conoco on 160, but that was the only station in town with gas.

This does not make sense unless the political powers are holding back to push forward something on offshore drilling - - - - we did not have shortages like this after Katrina even though the damage was far more significant than from Ike.....no? Yes that is when the price starting skyrocketing but...............

I've already given up, I'll be calling into work tommorrow. I have a 70 mile round trip everyday. I spoke to folks in Virginia and they have gas at $3.35. Go figure here.
