Hi,

Need some advice on KB Home Studio Upgrades?

We are planning to move to FortMill area soon and found a floor Plan which we like. ( No worries about old building/ train tracks , my two kids are in school, so FortMill ). Does any one had purchased a home from KB recently? if so, could you please share with me how much approx it will cost to upgrade the kitchen with stainles steel appliances, hardwood floor and a garden tub/shower combo for the master bath. They only got couple of lots and it is kinda expensive. Any opinions on that? I beleive in this market they should bring the prices down, am i right? The sales person is not at all giving us any offers or studio incentives...no clue why..

thanks
James

I live in the area, and I would recommend that there are other builders in the area with a much more transparent process (along with more standard features) in the area than KB. If you talk to someone in a model center, ask to see their price list for their upgrades. They should have one handy. If they don't want to give it to you, that's a bad thing.

If you want more info about the other builders in the area, you can read it on here or DM me. Just be aware that there are other choices for you in the same general area without having to get stuck in a lot you don't like. You can change features about your home, but you can't change where it's built.
