My puppy bolted from the Fort Mill library this past Saturday, 10/11 about Noon. Baxter Village was having yard sales and she was sighted several times. I found her leash and collar on the street.

Many volunteers, including the Tega Cay and Riverview fire departments helped in the search. She was last seen running down Sutton Road at 10:30 pm Saturday night and hasn't been spotted since.

She's 60 pounds, black, shy and timid. Her name is Lily. She's close to 4 ft. tall. If you see her, please call 704-401-7347, anytime 24/7. If you kneel or sit and offer her a treat, she'll come to you.

I've posted some signs, contacting vets, Great Dane society notified, visiting the pound today, etc. Her picture is on Charlotte's Craigslist.

Thanks for any assistance.

I surely hope you find your sweet girl. I know what it is like to hunt for a lost pet . .

Remember to post signs several miles off from where she was last seen, as dogs can roam a long distance when they are confused.

Call the York County Humane Society and see if someone had turned your dog over to them. I drive 160 fairly regularly and will keep an eye out for your dog.

Default Lost a 6-mo old Great Dane

Thanks for everyone's support. I've posted on petfinder, Baxter Forum, CN2, craigslist and later today Charlotte Observer, Lake Wylie News & Ft. Mill Times. She's been spotted for several days in a row near Sutton View Road. I don't think she'll pass over I-77, obviously she spooks easily.

It was our first day of socializing and the morning had gone really well when I decided on a quick walk to the library. Then she spooked as someone came out of the library and was dragging this loud, huge, heavy thing around on the street which scared her even more and then finally her collar and leash just came off. She has no ID, but is current on her shots. Lots of people have seen her, just can't catch her.

She's 4ft. tall, black w/ a white patch on her chest. A Riverview firefighter saw her and whistled, but she spooked at the truck. I've left her blanket laying around the Sutton property where she was seen. Not sure what else to do. I'm the one out there every morning and every night shouting her name and shaking her can of treats. Again, she's very shy but will come if you offer her a treat -- maybe sitting down or kneeling down -- she'll think it's a game and not such a threat.

Thanks for everyone's help!
Sylvia
