I am looking at 3G internet cards and considering either AT&T or Sprint.

I will be moving to the Fort Mill area this spring and want to make sure that the service I select will work well in the area - as well as Charlotte proper.

Currently I have Sprint phone service. I am not necessarily pleased with them and considering switching over to AT&T - but I don't want to get stuck in a contract I want to get out of later.

Thanks in advance for advice and recommendations!

Kansas Chick,

Try AT&T, if you purchase a product at full price then you will not have to be bound to a contract.

I travel all over NC & SC for work. I've had every service and IMO Verizon is the best in the Southeast. I have friends with every service out there and even know someone who works for AT&T on the corporate level and his phone seems to drop a lot of calls.

Verizon is the one plan that I have stuck with.

I've been with Sprint for 9 years with no issues. Now having said that it is very difficult to get a signal on some of the roads near Lake Wylie.

honestly? they all stink everywhere that's just the name of the cellular game. best option is to stick with Sprint (which I currently have as well) and choose the less of all evils by not re-upping your contract lol.

I had Sprint for years including mobile phone and 3G card in the laptop. Both worked fine in Tega Cay.

I only switched to Verizon to get a Crackberry for work (wanted the Storm which VZW had an exclusive on). Should have waited for the Palm Pre on Sprint, but am getting off topic.
